Sunny opened her eyes. It felt like she had had a strange dream about extra arms and twin sisters and such. Attempting to sit up, she noticed several arms around her stomach. Her gaze followed the arms to their origin, her own body. She had four arms placed vertically on each side of her. The arms moved in a bit of a flurry as she tried to move them. She held all of them above her and looked down at her stomach. There were still two arms holding her. She turned hesitantly towards the left side and discovered a woman lying beside her in just her underwear. She had the same hair as her, and apparently the same body too, except for that she only had two arms. She mumbled something in her sleep, and her voice was exactly like Sunny's. It hadn't been a dream. She looked to her right and saw three, no two, women lying on that side of the bed, identical to her. Leah walked down to the next house with her younger siblings and their friends. She didn't really enjoy trick or treating, but she did like making costumes and her parents had asked her to watch her siblings. Fortunately, she had two friends join her. Theresa was dressed like a spider with extra black sleeves her sides to represent the legs, with threads between the sleeves connected to hear real arms, and black gloves on the end of each sleeve. Carla was dressed as a hot nurse, complete with a massive cleavage and a short skirt. She had twin set of the costume though, so she put one on her mannequin and put make-up on it to make it similar to her. She had also put lots of stuff in her bra and the mannequin's bra, to make it "hotter". She was cold though, it was snowing. Leah was dressed up as a headless maid, wearing maid clothes, and paper maché and wire on top of her to be the torso to the costume, making a fake hand cupping her cheek. It's been two weeks since the city was put into quarantine. We're well outside the city limits, but I've had government agents knocking on the door every day for the past week to make sure that no, Grady and I haven't been into the city, and no we haven't had any contact with untreated water. Everyone knows this is all because of those eggheads at the University messing around with something, and everyone knows that the government doesn't know how to deal with it. It's in all the water in the city now. There's no way they're gonna be able to keep it contained. I know that for sure now. I wasn't paying much attention to the news until the third day, when they gave up on keeping the silence. They finally told us what happens anyone who drinks the water. They showed pictures of the affected people, and then video footage. My heart stopped as it sunk in that it was real. I've fantasized about it for as long as I can remember.
